Remote Desktop Access

FALL 2023 UPDATE: You most now be connected to the campus VPN to access the Windows desktop pools. The Linux machines are available without VPN, but require 2FA

CADE is proud to offer VMware’s VDI (virtual desktop infrastructure) solution for remote access to Windows 10 desktops. We have 128 desktops available for use on-campus or off with no need to use a VPN.

The pools are for both the MSE and Engman Labs

Windows Virtual Desktops: Just follow this link and make sure to select the “USERS” Domain and login using your CoE username and password(aka ‘CADE Account’).

Once logged-in, double-click on a pool and a desktop will launch. If, by chance the pool you choose failed (too many users, maintenance, etc.), just choose another pool.  [Note- previously, one could connect with the ‘VMware Horizon Client’ application but the service no longer functions at acceptable levels to recommend it’s use.]
