How do I mount my USB flash/thumb drive on the Linux boxes?

In order to read from and write to a USB drive it must first be mounted.  Insert it in to the front or rear USB ports and in a Terminal type:

~> cd /media
/media> ls

Find the name of the device and then type:

/media> mount devicename

You will now be able to write to and read from the USB drive.

To remove the device type:

~> cd /media
/media> umount devicename

You can now safely remove the drive.
