On the Linux machines, how do I access files on a CD/DVD?

Insert the cdrom/dvd in the drive and close it and from you home directory, type ‘mount /mnt/cdrom’.
Now the cdrom is available, you may use the standard commands (ls, mv, cp, etc.) to access the files.
For example, if you’d like to copy a file off your cd, run ‘cp /mnt/cdrom/file ~’
